Center for Career Readiness offers resources for Å·ÃÀAV students of any class year

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Job-market-eyeing juniors and seniors have probably visited Å·ÃÀAV’s Center for Career Readiness to get résumés and cover letters reviewed, practice interviewing and explore work-experience opportunities. But the center’s director, Meghan Oliver, wants first-year students, who may not yet have visited, to know it’s never too early to tap resources and plan careers.

Å·ÃÀAV names Dr. Karen Gaines provost and faculty dean

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Å·ÃÀAV has named Dr. Karen Gaines, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University who also holds an academic appointment as professor of physiology, as provost and dean of the faculty, beginning at the end of the spring 2022 semester.

Å·ÃÀAV names Danielle Pelczarski as chief of staff

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Å·ÃÀAV announced that Danielle Pelczarski, deputy commandant of the California State University Maritime Academy in Vallejo, California, has been named senior vice president and chief of staff, effective March 2022.

Å·ÃÀAV’s U.S. Army ROTC program to receive Defense Department award

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — In April, Norwich’s U.S. Army ROTC received the 2020 Gen. Douglas MacArthur Award for the Cadet Command’s 1st Brigade. In July, Norwich’s U.S. Army ROTC Pioneer Battalion received the Defense Department ROTC and Educational Institution Partnership Excellence Award. The Excellence Award recognizes exceptional performance in the 2019-20 academic year and standing out among the 496 U.S. colleges and universities that host ROTC units.

Å·ÃÀAV receives $18.5 million grant to continue leading Defense Department Cyber Institute program
